Position Statements

Employee Testing and Monitoring

HDMA believes that criminal background checks, drug testing, polygraphs, and other electronic monitoring are effective to avoid hiring high-risk employees and prevent drug diversion and abuse. HDMA supports their use when properly administered to screen prospective employees, to assist in investigating theft, and to prevent drug diversion and abuse.
