2008 HDMA iBusiness Solution Awards Information
GENERAL
These
prestigious annual awards recognize HDMA members for technology-enabled
process improvements in the healthcare industry, and are intended to
encourage the adoption of creative, new iBusiness solutions.
iBusiness solutions range from the implementation of cutting-edge technologies
with revolutionary process design to innovations of existing systems
and business processes.
Past winners
ELIGIBILITY
HDMA presents iBusiness Solution Awards to a distributor member, a
manufacturer member and an allied service provider member. The
iBusiness Solution must be initiated within the past 18 months (or
no earlier than August 2007) and should address a current industry
issue, such as product availability, inventory management, etc.
CRITERIA/JUDGING
iBusiness Solution Award winners are chosen by members of HDMA’s
Industry Relations Council based upon the following criteria:
- Value from productivity gains in the healthcare industry
- New or expanded market access
- New services to existing customers
- Improved customer service or satisfaction
- Eliminating time/costs in the healthcare supply chain
- Innovative use of technology
NOMINATION PROCESS
HDMA members may nominate themselves or other member companies for
the HDMA iBusiness Solution Award. Companies may submit multiple
nominations.
Areas to consider for your nomination may include, but are not limited
to:
- Materials Handling Technology, including automatic identification
technologies such as electronic product codes and bar codes and/or technologies
that track/trace, receive, stock, store, pick and ship products
- Business Process Improvements that take advantage
of technology to improve cost effectiveness and business efficiencies
in the healthcare system (regulatory compliance, financial and human
resources, use of technical standards, etc.)
- Communication Technology, including voice, data
and imaging, which enhance customer satisfaction
- Information Management Technology, including systems
and devices for data collection, storage, analysis and retrieval
BENEFITS
• Awards are presented at HDMA’s Distribution Management
Conference & Expo at the General
Business Session
• iBusiness Solution Award winners, including photos, will
be featured on HDMA’s Web site
• An award icon next to the award-winning company name will
appear in the annual HDMA
Directory
• A featured article will appear in HDMA’s e-newsletter, The
Distribution Digest
• Winning companies may feature the award in any advertising campaign
