On October 11, 2007, HDMA will host a special one-day Seminar, Looking Forward in Reverse Logistics, designed to provide the latest information and analysis on the state of the Rx and OTC reverse logistics industry.

This seminar will bring together industry leaders across the healthcare supply chain, as well as government and public policy experts to focus on the operational, financial and organizational issues and processes associated with managing and reducing the volume and costs of returned goods.

Target Audience: This program is open to all HDMA distributor, manufacturer and service provider members, as well as retailers. This program targets those responsible for reverse logistics, returns processing and management, purchasing, operations, finance, customer service, credit and collection, sales and warehousing. *

*The seminar is closed to the media to provide an open forum for industry professionals.

Scott Bradford
Vice President, Reverse Logistics
McKesson Corporation

Scott Bradford currently manages reverse distribution for McKesson and its healthcare provider customers, including the return of products to the manufacturer. Bradford's 14-year year career with McKesson includes positions focused on centralized transaction processing, field operations and financial planning and analysis. Prior to McKesson, Bradford worked for six years with Deloitte & Touche and the freight forwarding industry. Bradford earned his B.S. in Business Administration at the University of California, Berkeley.

 

Ed Crimmins
Director, Pharmaceutical Returns
Rite Aid Corporation

 

Ed Crimmins is the Director of Pharmaceutical Returns for Rite Aid Corporation. During his nine years with Rite Aid, he has had responsibility for various aspects of reverse logistics and inventory management programs within the company. His current responsibilities include oversight of the pharmaceutical reverse logistics physical and financial process flow. He has 14 years of supply chain experience in distribution. Crimmins holds a degree from State University of New York at Albany.

 

Perry L. Fri
Senior Vice President, Industry Relations
Healthcare Distribution Management Association

Perry L. Fri is HDMA’s Senior Vice President of Industry Relations. In his current position, Fri is responsible for the direction, supervision and development of industry initiatives that facilitate improved business processes and operational efficiencies in the healthcare supply chain. Fri most recently served as Vice President of Industry Relations and Program Development for the Health Industry Distributors Association (HIDA). Prior to joining HIDA, Fri was a consultant for The Hale Group. He was also Vice President of Industry Alliances for Instill Corporation, and was the Director of Supply Chain Management for NWDA (now HDMA). Fri holds a BA in History from the University of Maryland.

   

Kevin Friel
Senior Logistics Analyst
Cephalon, Inc.

Kevin Friel is the Senior Logistics Analyst for Cephalon, Inc. Friel’s responsibilities include managing reverse logistics and implementing process improvements geared toward establishing and sustaining efficiencies in the reverse supply chain. He is also an active participant on HDMA’s Returns Task Force.  Prior to joining Cephalon, Inc., Friel spent five years with sanofi-aventis in customer service, trade relations and distribution management. Friel earned his BS in Business Logistics from Penn State, University Park.

   
Cray Lester
Supply Chain Manager
HEB
Cray Lester is the Supply Chain Manager for HEB’s more than 200 pharmacies. He has overall responsibility for product flow into and out of HEB’s pharmacies. Lester also is responsible for evaluating and implementing new initiatives such as e-pedigree, CSOS and RFID within HEB pharmacies. He has served in other supply chain roles with HEB in the past four years, including Reverse Logistics Manager and Business Analyst. Lester’s previous experience includes eight years of retail operations experience and three years of demand planning.
   

Jo Meegan-Corrigan
Senior Manager, Trade Finance
Par Pharmaceutical

Jo Meegan-Corrigan is the Senior Manager of Trade Finance at Par Pharmaceutical, Inc. Meegan-Corrigan came to Par Pharmaceutical, Inc. in 2003 as the Account Executive of the Credit Validation team. She has more than 17 years of experience in establishing new business processes and in team development. Currently, Meegan-Corrigan focuses on issues, such as strengthening the relationship between manufactures and 3PLs, as well as setting industry standards for unprecedented processes, including e-pedigree. Prior to her current position, she constructed the system for credit processing at Par Pharmaceutical, Inc. that led to record improvements and standardization company-wide.
   

Jamison Pound
Director, Supply Chain Solutions
Guaranteed Returns

Jamison Pound currently serves as Director of Supply Chain Solutions at Guaranteed Returns®. Pound has 12 years of project management experience in the healthcare industry with seven years dedicated to reverse logistics activities. Pound specializes in consultative services with a concentration in supply chain optimization, business process efficiency, channel strategy and reverse logistics solutions. His responsibilities include consultative services, account management, integration project management, coordination of B2B/EDI communications, innovative program design and implementation and market analysis. Pound is co-project team leader of the HDMA Returns Task Force Best Logistic Practices project and a member of HDMA’s E-Commerce Task Force.

   

Daniel J. Raftery

Dan Raftery is President of Raftery Resource Network, and has more than 20 years experience as a management and research consultant for the consumer drug, food and housewares industries. His assignments cover a range of topics from specific supply chain operations to strategic business and industry issues. Raftery has authored more than three-dozen industry reports on a variety of subjects—18 on the subject of returned goods. Raftery is a regular speaker at industry conferences and facilitates executive share groups and cross-functional action teams. His editorial columns and newsletters appear in several trade periodicals and are accessible on-line. Raftery also has 18 years of retail operations experience and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin.
   

Tom Renkey
Director, Supply Chain Services
AmerisourceBergen Drug Company

Tom Renkey is the Director, Supply Chain Services, with AmerisourceBergen Drug Company. His responsibilities include developing and implementing supply chain process improvements, developing the supplier information delivery infrastructure, monitoring fee-for-service performance metrics, supporting track-and-trace efforts and improving reverse logistics performance. He has been active with the HDMA Returns Task Force and the HDMA Logistics Operations Committee. Renkey has 27 years of supply chain experience in manufacturing and distribution. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State and an MBA from Wilmington College. Currently he is serving on the Board of Directors with the Purchasing Management Association of Philadelphia, a local chapter of the Institute for Supply Management.

   

Diane Staub
Director, Sales Support & Operations
Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation

 

Diane Staub is the Director of Sales Support & Operations for Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation. Staub is part of the U.S. Managed Markets team that is responsible for trade relations. Staub currently leads the Trade Customer Service team that manages all U.S. revenue for Novartis, specifically in the areas of order management, credit adjudication, returned goods, new product launches and recall management. Her strategic and operational responsibilities include industry-related and special projects, such as track and trace, RFID, e-pedigree, product mergers/acquisitions and off-shoring/outsourcing opportunities. Previously, Staub was part of the global project team that implemented the Sales & Distribution module for Novartis' ERP system, as well as Sarbanes-Oxley protocols. Staub has more than 20 years of experience in the sales, distribution, returns and customer service areas in the pharmaceutical industry.

   
Brian P. Waldman, Esq.

Arent Fox, PLLC
Brian P. Waldman is co-manager of Arent Fox's Regulatory Department, and head of the department’s Food & Drug Group.  Waldman concentrates his practice in the area of food and drug law and advertising law, counseling both manufacturers and distributors primarily on pharmaceutical and medical device issues, with particular emphasis on developing effective strategies for introducing new products. Much of Waldman’s practice involves crisis management support.  Waldman assists clients in preparing for and during government investigations, as well as in evaluating and responding to adverse product information.  He has coordinated numerous recalls, market withdrawals, and other product corrective actions.
   
Bob Weston
Rx Customer Service & Logistics Manager
Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals
Bob Weston is the Customer Service/Logistics Manager for Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals. Weston is responsible for managing warehousing, fulfillment, returns and transportation operations. Weston is a member of HDMA’s Logistics Operations Committee and has participated in several of the association’s special projects. Weston has 33 years of experience in the healthcare industry in various disciplines, including manufacturing, human resources, initiatives management, operations planning and distribution.
