Health, Beauty and Wellness Committee
The mission of the Health, Beauty and Wellness Committee (formerly the Health & Beauty Care Advisory Committee) is to conduct research and create knowledge that shapes the future of the healthcare supply chain. This includes conducting strategic research for the supply chain and providing data and analysis on the industry that supports HDMA initiatives.
Co-chaired by Neal Allen, Vice President, Program Management, McKesson Supply Solutions, and Michael Jones, Vice President, Sales Development & Trade Relations, Del Pharmaceuticals, the Committee met November 28 and 29, 2007 to discuss their most recent research project (see below) on optimizing front-of-store profitability, as well as strategies for future activities in the upcoming year. The Committee plans to develop recommendations for efficiently introducing new products improving communication across the supply chain and achieving stronger alignments with independent pharmacies and their industry organizations.
To better reflect this new mission, as well as consumer and industry trends, the Committee has changed its name to the HDMA Health, Beauty and Wellness (HBW) Committee. The Committee includes HDMA distributor and manufacturer members focused on marketing HBW products and services to retail customers.
